The Foundation
Born from the Grassroots.
Voices Unbound was founded by a team of dedicated media and communication professionals who recognized a critical gap in how marginalized communities are represented.
Our journey began with deep grassroots consultations in Kibera, where we uncovered the systemic silence surrounding menstrual health and Gender-Based Violence (GBV). We saw that top-down communication was failing; what was needed was participatory media.
Today, we’ve scaled that model across Kenya, South Sudan, and Somalia, ensuring that those most affected by inequality are the ones leading the conversation.
