Voices Unbound is a community-based organization working across Kenya, South Sudan, and Somalia to empower women, young people, and communities through media, communication, and skills training. We leverage these tools to educate, inspire, and drive positive change on issues such as Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Safe Motherhood, Maternal Health, Family Planning, Livelihoods and Skills Development, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), Gender Justice, Mental Health and Wellness, Climate Change, ICT and Media Training, and Human Rights Advocacy.
At Voices Unbound, we believe in the power of storytelling and communication to challenge harmful norms, raise awareness, and catalyze action for a more equitable and just society.

Our Foundation
Voices Unbound was established to challenge systemic inequalities in Kenya through the power of media, storytelling, and community engagement. Founded by media professionals and activists, the organization amplifies the voices of women, girls, and marginalized communities often silenced or misrepresented in mainstream platforms.
Born from grassroots consultations, Voices Unbound responds to critical gaps in menstrual health education, gender-based violence awareness, and economic empowerment. Traditional media lacked inclusivity and sensitivity, so we built a platform to educate, advocate, and inspire action through radio, digital campaigns, and local dialogues.
Since its founding, Voices Unbound has equipped women and youth with skills in journalism, storytelling, and advocacy, empowering them as community changemakers. We believe that equitable communication is essential for social transformation and inclusive development in Kenya.
